Miami Beach Angels

The tiles cast in the sand in front of them depict the four winds.

Change Machine
acrylic on canvas
44"x38"
Inspired by George Carlin's quote: "I put a dollar in a change machine ... nothing changed." Triptych on one canvas depicts events that haven't changed with the passage of time: public execution and the apathy, or even delight, of the onlookers; war, murder, suicide; and the division between the feasting and the hungry.

To Everything There is a Season
acrylic on canvas

Helen of Poland Feeds the Kids
acrylic on canvas

A woman who died too young returns as an angel to protect her relations from lurking evil.

Raising Joseph
acrylic on canvas
48" X 40"
Inspired by the Biblical story of the raising of Lazarus, the artist resurrects her father, who never lived to see her work.

Long Journey
acrylic on canvas
54" X 40"
An older couple pack up their belongings and begin a long, strenuous journey. The man is reluctant, the woman entices him. There is a big sendoff by the townspeople. Architecture is based on medieval Belgian style.
